Carousel Films & Communications produced films for this pharmaceutical company to help secure FDA approval for Ataluren, a drug that treats Duchenne muscular dystrophy. We worked extensively at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as in the homes and communities where the patient's families live. Carousel has extensive experience working with patients, in hospitals, and in the biopharmaceutical field.

Carousel was called in to co-produce a 25th anniversary Genzyme project with the CGI firm Neoscape. Then creative director Richard Gonci set what he thought was only a meet-and-greet meeting, but it soon became clear that Genzyme expected a pitch. Carousel founder Linda Garmon had already been inspired by company branding that existed in the lobby of headquarters. She pitched an idea that built on this branding, and on the spot, she and Gonci were able to develop it enough to land the gig.

Carousel Communications consulted with Studio AMD on a video introducing Princess Nora bint Abdul Rahman University, a public women's university located in the capital city of Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Carousel Films & Communications worked with CGI firm Neoscape to produce a fund-raising film for Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, which secured money for a new building, Jean Yawkey Place. Carousel directed the shoots, following the story of one patient who was convinced to leave the streets one cold night to receive treatment and a hospital bed at the organization--as well as care under the direction of dedicated and determined Dr. Jim O'Connell.

Carousel Communications worked with Neoscape to produce "Harvard in Allston," a web site and interactive display at the university to introduce students, faculty, and neighbors to Harvard's plans to expand from Cambridge into Allston, across the Charles River.

Carousel Communications worked with the MIT Media Lab to organize Scratch Day, a celebration of the popular computer programming language for children. Carousel founder immediately saw that what was missing in past events was the realization that no matter how computer savvy and bright the participating children, they are still kids. We built fairground table-top canopies to identify activity areas, added face-painting, and a beginner's section, and we received rave reviews from all attendees.

Carousel Communications produced a 400-attendee event for MIT's Media Lab: the Scratch Conference, for educators looking for new ideas on how to use the computer programming language for children. Reviews of the event by participants were universally positive. In a post-event survey, to answer the question "what would you change," several wrote: "Keep Linda Garmon [founder of Carousel]."

When The Just Crust pizzeria first opened, it received some media attention about its pledge to give food workers a living wage. But the pizzeria needed to turn a profit to prove its concept. Carousel suggested a social media and web campaign focused on the locally sourced food and unique pizza offerings, and helped run a Facebook contest. We accrued 1,000 followers in less than a week. The Just Crust recently celebrated its 2-year anniversary.

Carousel Films & Communications worked as production manager for the feature-length Rolling Stones promotional video that documented the Forty Licks Tour. We oversaw 3 camera crews to cover load-ins and load-outs at three venues (cabaret theater, stadium, and arena), three sound checks, back stage and hotel life, as well as three concerts. We worked with director Michael Apted, famous for his "Seven-Up" documentary series.
